Your Vote Counts! Participatory Budgeting and PS 165

Dear Parents,

It's time for Participatory Budgeting! City Council Member Mark Levine's office is running their fourth Participatory Budgeting event. This is a process where the community (YOU) can decide how to spend $1 million from the Council Member's discretionary funding budget for capital improvements in our district.

Our school, PS 165, has a project that you can vote for! Our goal is to upgrade the air conditioners and electrical wiring in the first floor gym. The estimated cost to perform this upgrade is $450,000, and if we get enough votes, we can get this done!

Who can vote?

Anyone who lives in City Council District 7 and at least 11 years of age. Get the vote out and help us upgrade the air conditioners!

How can you vote?

  • You can vote online at https://council.nyc.gov/pb/. You need to enter your address and a phone number to receive a PIN to vote.

  • You can vote at PS 165! Kysha from Mark Levine's office will be at PS 165 on Wednesday, April 11, and Thursday, April 12 from 2 PM to 3:15 PM to help our parents and community vote!

Every vote counts, so everyone should vote!
