Dear Community Families,
ACT will continue to be supportive to the community. WE ARE HERE FOR YOU! The staff want you to know that we are here to support you during these uncertain times. Families are finding it a challenge to make child-care decisions when DOE school schedules continue to change. We want to inform you of our plans to incorporate a variety of programs beginning September 21st.
ACT will offer Safe Center for Online Learning (SCOL) for children 2nd - 6th grades to be in a safe/fun environment 8:00-2:30pm (subject to change according to DOE) for remote learning followed by afterschool care from 2:30-6:00pm (subject to change according to DOE) for children kindergarten through 6th grade. Here is what you can expect:
Children will be grouped according to grade in pods.
The day will consist of remote learning support, lunch, recess, as well as arts, science and team building activities.
Outdoor learning weather permitting otherwise indoor space throughout the Cathedral.
Children and our leaders will remain socially distanced throughout the day wearing masks
ACT will be following all of Department of Health and CDC reopening guidelines. If schools continue to delay reopening, ACT will offer Hangout Haven. WE ARE HERE FOR YOU! Hangout Haven is a full day program for children kindergarten through 6th grade. Some applications are posted on our website www.actprograms.org. However, applications fees are subject to change due to increase of hours the children will be attending afterschool. Spaces will be limited. We ask that you register only if you are ready to commit. Reach out to us if you would like additional information. With Gratitude, Marie Del Tejo, M.Ed. Executive Director www.actprograms.org New York, NY 10025 212.316.7530
